Meet Ryan Miller

My Story – I learned about ChiRunning entirely by chance. It was the spring of 2004 when, in my junior year of college, I found myself wandering around a bookstore looking for something to read. After about 45 minutes of browsing nothing had yet caught my eye so I decided to check out the running books. To my surprise I found a book called ChiRunning. Intrigued, I pulled it off the shelf and read the back. I read “run with your core muscles” and immediately made my way for the register.

Little did I know that the book would not only change my running but my entire life as well. I now run with far more ease and fluidity, it often feels as if I’ve just done a session of yoga when I’m done with a run. The holistic practice of ChiRunning has lowered my overall stress level, improved my health, emotional well being, and mental clarity. I am now a certified instructor looking to share these blissful moments with others.

ChiRunning/Yoga Class Schedule Information

I am available for private or group lessons on weekends and select weeknights. Join me Tuesday nights at 6pm for a Kripalu style yoga class which will also focus on elements for ChiRunning. This class is great for those who are new to Yoga or advanced students looking to incorpate elements from Yoga into their running. Class is held at The Yoga Mat Plus in Methuen, MA.

Monday: Available for private or small group instruction after 5pm in Haverhill, MA

Tuesday: Kripalu Yoga class at The Yoga Mat, 44 Hampshire Street, Clocktower Square, Methuen, MA 01844, 6pm Pay by donation of any amount. www.methuenyogamat.com

Wednesday: Group running and fun run. Join us for a fun casual run for all abilities. Cost is free, meet at Northen Essex Community College, 100 Elliott Street, Haverhill, MA 01830, 5:00pm

FREE—Chi Check-in run: Join me every Wednesday at 5:00pm at the Nortern Essex Community College Track. This is a great opportunity to get a progess update and enjoy a group run. Please call or email so I can keep an eye out for you.
