Zachary Cloutier put on a great show and won his heat of the 3,000m in a time of 10:17.14. Zachary ran a smart race, starting out slow and working his way up to the front of the pack and eventually taking the win.
After the 400m, action continued with strong performances in the mile. Ian Wright ran 5:07.88 after running the Millennium Mile on Thursday in 5:00.24. His wife also ran both the BU Mini Meet and the Millennium Mile, running 5:23.38 and 5:12.5, respectively. Amanda Wright ran the same mile time at BU as she ran 4 weeks earlier at the UMASS Boston Opener. She also is looking forward to lowering her time after getting in some mile-specific work.
Finally, master's runner, Jamie Aubuchon took the time to throw down in the 800m, running an impressive 2:13:39. Sisu Project had several supporters out at the track including Andrea Domings, Caitlyn Clark, Dan Button and Stephanie Wilson who cheered on the crew of runners.
Look for the baby blue this weekend at the Tiger All Comers meet. The 4x400m will be making its debut along with several other performances in the mile, 800m, and 5,000m. Track is back and SISU is all over the scene!
