Wright placed 6th for women, covering the 10k course in 69 minutes, breaking her goal of sub-70 - not bad for her first snowshoe race ever and her second time on snowshoes. When asked if she would do it again, she replied with all the ways she considered seriously hurting Eric N (director of the ATR series) before the 5k mark. However, she has warmed up to the idea (literally and figuratively) of running on Snowshoes again. After all, check out her form on those things. We fully expect her to make a go at a top 3 finish next year.
John Kleschinsky also made it out to NH and finished the race in 1:48:08. John caught up with us after the race, enjoying the after party, hanging out with Ian Wright, Amanda Wright, and the ladies of the WMDP. We do not want to speculate about how he felt during the race, but we know there was about 1324 feet of gain with a max slope 26% - John will not let us forget that! When it comes to course profiles and weather, Johnny K has our back.
