Sisu is off to a great start this year having three members compete at three different races on New Years day.
Although he is temporarily miles away from the "Positivity Palace" AKA, SP Headquarters, Ian Wright showed his sisu and competed in the Resolution 5k in Lansing, MI. He won his age group and placed 2nd overall in a time of 18:46. We are excited to see much more of Ian when he moves back to New England in the spring.
Laura Rudd is not an unfamiliar name in New England. She never makes excuses, is willing to compete under any circumstances, and is a true testament to the word sisu. Coming off of a 26 minute PR in the marathon, she toed the line at the Hangover Classic in Salisbury, MA and ran a 10k PR of 40:45, good for 3rd place. She is hungry for more, and will be breaking that 40 minute barrier in no time!
Kristina Scott was also in action on New Years Day competing in Lowell at the 4th Annual 1st Run 5k. She ran 21:19 and placed 3rd overall. Kristina made a resolution to only run if it's fun, so we can't wait to see what other great results she's going to produce since sisu is going to have it's best and most fun year yet!
Stay tuned for more results!
