One warm September morning in Gloucester, the Sisu Ladies finished fifth place out of 12 teams on the rolling 10K course. Led by Katrina Gravel(37:53), the women's team had a strong total of eight competitors in all including Caitlyn Clark (39:10), Amanda Wright(39:26), Kelly LeCours (42:52), Linda Fortunato (43:31), Chenice Branquinho (44:21), Emily Lane (45:03), and Laura Rudd (45:13).
The men's team managed a tenth place finish out of 15 teams with Mike Grasela leading the way with a time of 35:11 followed by Sean Griffin (35:23), Matthew Germain (35:49), Ryan Miller (37:59), Ian Wright (38:40), andJohn Rheaume (39:43).
Two weeks later on the hilly Nahant course, The BIG THREE of the Lady Project took an amazing second place finish led by Katrina Gravel with a time of 2:05:09, Caitlyn Clark and Amanda Wright finishing close together in times of 2:10:48 and 2:10:49 respectively out of 14 clubs, finishing second to only the BAA who had a World Champion on their squad that day. Also running strong were Kelly LeCours (2:24:04), Linda Fortunato (2:27:19),Maartje Bastings (2:29:49), and Laura Rudd (2:30:41).
Meanwhile, the men fielded a small team that took 12th out of 16 teams with Matthew Germain leading the charge in a time of 1:58:32 in addition to Ian Wright's strong 2:06:13. Chris Stone (2:37:06) again saved the day with his last minute commitment to the race, enabling Sisu to field a full team.
