Arriving in Hudson, the sun was shinning and there was a cool breeze welcoming the small crew of SISU folks to the Elks Pavillion on Park Street in Hudson, MA.
It turned out to be a great day for Lizzie Dawson, who is training for the Mount Washington Road Race. The hilly course provided just what she needed to get some extra challenging miles in at a great effort. While Lizzie says she doesn't have much in the way of speed right now, she's pleased with her training so far and looking forward to climbing up only one hill on June 21st.
Anthony DiPaolo, Dave's personal trainer, jogged along side Dave the entire time, providing encouragement and support...he didn't fair too badly in the end as Linda makes clear "he can now say his hardware collection has doubled," placing in his age group for the second time in a row. He's now two outta three in age group prizes, but hey, two outta three aint bad.
SISU would like to thank 4 Jake's Sake for putting on an excellent event and choosing a wonderfully challenging course for us all. And also, the Harvest Cafe of Hudson, MA for being all around awesome.
