WHY I RUN
I run to clear my mind. I started running because, basically, I wanted to see if I could. I always hated running for soccer in high school...the dreaded “14 minute two miler” for tryouts. After the first couple months I found myself compelled to run every day. I ran myself into two stress fractures. So lets just say I have an addictive personality. However, I have turned running into something I do in moderation. I run to go through my day and any problems that may arise. I work through my life when I run. I run through pain. I run for the rush of finishing a run. That peaceful stillness that takes over your whole body. Running makes the world stop for me. Suddenly the day seems right and I can take on anything that comes my way. A little cheesy, I know, but running has saved my life. And thanks to Sisu I can share that with friends who are supportive and care tremendously. I mean, come on, where else can you find a pack of people that party with vegan smoothies and CC's famous dairy-free, sugar-free ice cream cake?
